Reflection on VR

What went well: The assets look great and work well together. The best asset is the kitchen as it looks like a real life kitchen and all of the colours also work well together. Also what went well was the live action filming because it was very easy and only taken 3 shots to decide on what we needed.

What didn’t go so well: The audio and sound has been all over the place as we don’t know what to use for the music and if we should use royalty free music or create some in garage band.

How could it be improved: The storyboard could be improved if we all created a storyboard and decide on the best and make that the final one but what we did was make are own and argued for ages what too add in and what not to have in also communication between each other.

My role: Was to help with the storyboard and the story behind the game promo, creating a Chroma key live action and decided which one we will use in are game promo.

Ideas

•  Plan your promo by creating a weekly planner

•  Produce a story idea in the form of a treatment.

•  Research your ideas for a visual identity, look at visual references for scenes, props and characters.

Each member of the group should have task to complete.

Produce mood boards for these. 


 

Today, the first day, myself, Matt M, Harry and Adil grouped together and agreed to come up with separate ideas then choose the best one.

21/02/17 Visual Development

 

·      Start concept art (harry)

  Adil and Jordan were not in to discuss the ideas so to make sure we didn’t loose time, me and Matt chose my idea about an insane man and zombie cupcakes. Stuart Joined the group. Seeing as two members were not here, we chose to wait till we sorted out roles for the project.
22/02/17 Further Visual Development

Treatment VR_AR Game Promo

Treatment

The promo will start showing the logo of collegg production then will fade to black and beginning will be in 3D using Maya. The main character in first person facing out of the window by the sink then the character will turn around and look at the island in the middle of the room then the character will look down and see the a cupcake on the table then the character will grab a frying and slams it down on the cupcake crushing it  all of this will be in a first person view then the camera shows the main character holding the frying pan above his head and the camera will pan out then will show live action and a crazy man in a padded room with a strict jacket on saying cupcakes over and over again.
